Michener Park Activities

Edmonton Police Services (EPS) continue to conduct police training on the Michener Park site, though the training is now limited due to the removal of buildings. Prior to any training, EPS members sweep the site.

Demolition of buildings continues. The northwestern section is next in line along with a few blocks located in the interior of the site near Vanier Tower.

The contractor for the demolition project has a security guard on site from 6 pm – 7 am every day. In addition to the site security guard, and as indicated above, UAPS patrols the site twice a day.

The University of Alberta Property Trust is undertaking a feasibility study to determine whether Vanier Tower will be kept or also demolished.
